Hello everyone, and thanks for stopping by my page! I've been
drumming for over 20 years now, and have loved every second of
it. I am completely self taught, never took any lessons. I
started playing drums in my sophomore year in high school when
my mom bought me my first drum kit. Since then, I feel drumming
is in my soul, and always will be. My Mom bet me $20.00 that I
would be sick of them and quit playing after three months. I
have yet to collect! I can't collect, after all that eardrum
bashing she took while I was learning, how could I? But now she
can say she knows who Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath are. I now
have 4 drum sets and play live on DW Drums and Zildjian
Cymbals.
I remember
getting the call for the audition with some band I knew I wanted
to play for. At the time the name was not determined. I was
excited, yet very nervous. Anyway, I knew this was going to be a
great project. Juka, Ivan & Fiore were already "official"
members, they just needed a drummer. I was asked to learn three
songs, Everlong (Foofighters), Basket case (Greenday) & High
(Jimmy's Chicken Shack). So I did my homework and showed up for
the audition. I tried to hide my nervousness and just played.
Well, I think you can figure what happened from there.
I
was born and raised in Willoughby Hills, and I have also purchased a
house in the same city. After
High School at Willoughby South, I went on to become a Buckeye and
graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science
in Business Administration. Although, while in my freshman year, I
was written up by the Dormitory officials for causing, as they call
it, "excessive noise disturbances". Basically they said either I
go, or the drums go. Sadly, I packed them up for home and continued
to practice on anything else I could find to bang on that didn't
create as much noise. I went on to complete my degree before I
actually ever joined a band. I finished in the winter of 1993 and
joined my first band, Mischievous, in the summer of 1994. I met
Melissa in 2002 and then went on and got married in the summer of
2005. We are still going strong and she is still my number one fan,
just as I am her number one fan! I am currently an Operations
Manager for Hy-Ko Products Company in Northfield OH.
